At Body Labz, we ensure you feel your best by preparing you before treatment and guiding post-treatment care for optimal results.
Whether it's your first session or your fifth, here's a handy guide to maximizing your body sculpting experience.
## Preparing for Your Appointment
Implementing a few simple steps can significantly improve your body's response.
Drink plenty of water before and on the day of your appointment to help your body flush out broken-down fat effectively.
Eat light and healthy by avoiding heavy, greasy meals and alcohol 24 hours before treatment. Opt for fresh foods, lean proteins, and plenty of vegetables and fruits.
Avoid caffeine and alcohol.
These substances can lead to dehydration, complicating your body's ability to metabolize and remove fat.
Opt for comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
Your skin might feel a bit sensitive afterward, so you'll appreciate wearing something soft and unrestrictive.
After Your Session
Your body will be working hard to process and eliminate the fat we just treated, so take care of it!
Stay hydrated.
Try to drink at least half your body weight in ounces each day. It’s one of the BEST ways to help your body flush out fat.
Keep moving.
Light walking or gentle activity helps stimulate your lymphatic system, enhancing your results.
Avoid very hot showers, saunas, or intense workouts for about 24 hours. Allow your body to rest.
Opt for comfortable clothing.
Avoid tight waistbands or shapewear immediately after — let your skin breathe.
Possible Side Effects (Completely Normal!)
After your session, you might notice some mild, temporary side effects such as:
Minor swelling or redness
Sensitivity in the treated areas (similar to a mild bruise sensation)
Slightly increased urination — your body is actively flushing out fat!
All of these are normal and typically subside quickly. It’s just your body doing exactly what we intend it to do.
